What is it:

G3 themselves describe the product as follows; G3 Pro Wheel Cleaner is a pH neutral touchless cleaner for all wheel types, including alloy, steel, chrome, painted and plastic trims. The colour changing technology activates as brake dust and other iron rich contaminants dissolve. It is non-staining, can be used on bodywork around the wheel and the gel formula clings to the wheel surface for maximum effect.

How we tested it:

We were kindly sent a 500ml bottle of the wheel cleaner to test and have done so on a range of various wheels, some with light and some with extremely heavy soiling.

We Liked:

• Superb cleaning power. Took a heavily soiled wheel from awful to awesome in a single hit.
• Great dwell time.
• Easy to use, colour changing formula shows user it is doing as it should.
• Goes beyond other wheel cleaners with built in fallout removal properties.
• PH Balanced formula.

We Didn't Like:

• You have to use quite a lot of product to effectively cover the wheel face.
• Is it a wheel cleaner or a fallout remover or both?

Overall:

G3 have been around for a long time, largely establishing themselves in the bodyshop and paint correction scene. They have recently made a launch on the detailing market with their new range of professional products which the Wheel Cleaner is a part of"¦and if this is a sign of things to come, we are delighted they have! As a wheel cleaner this is arguably the best we have used for pure cleaning power. It transforms wheels with the added bonus of a colour changing formula which both offers reassurance of It performing and some great photo opportunities!

Our only issue with the product is we aren't really sure what it is. You have to use a lot to get the results and it certainly contains fallout removal properties. So is it a fallout remover or a wheel cleaner or both? As many fallout removers will clean wheels too. We cant help wonder if a second wheel cleaner would be useful for general cleaning with this as the heavy duty/fallout removal option.

Still an excellent product.
