What is it

Taken from the Vantage Detailing website; Vantage Detailing's Rubber and Vinyl cleans all things rubber and plastic on both the interior and exterior of your vehicle. Rubber and Vinyl will make your rubber and plastics looks virtually brand new again. This product also provides protection to the treated surfaces by reducing the look of wear and tear.

How we tested it:

We were kindly sent a sample of the product to put through its paces and trial on a variety of trim surfaces. We ensured surfaces were thoroughly cleaned with an all purpose cleaner prior to application and applied the dressing looking for its ease of application, appearance after application and range of uses.

We Liked:

• Amazing smell that gives you a real out loud 'mmm'moment on opening the bottle. Makes it a joy to use.
• A small amount goes a long way, we found a couple of mists on either the trim itself or a foam pad or microfiber towel would cover a fairly large area.
• Dries quickly and doesn't necessarily need any future wipes or applications.
• Works fantastic on engine bays and where low sheen is desired.

We Didn't Like:

• Not as noticeable a difference in appearance as some rival dressings but this on the flipside may be a positive to many - particularly for interiors.
• Didn't improve some surfaces as well as others. We found that occasionally the product would flashdry away rather than enhance.

Overall:

Very pleasant to use product that we found particular home for on engine bay treatments. Due to the largely covered nature of modern engine bays, we liked the speed aspect of being able to mist over the engine bay as a whole and wipe round with a microfiber towel to leave a fresh, natural sheen finish. On some surfaces we did find the product didn't quite leave the finish we hoped but at the same time enjoyed the fact it left a nice natural sheen and didn't negatively alter surfaces with streaking or oily type appearance. Worth purchasing for smell alone, this good value dressing is a solid addition to a detailing collection.
