What is it?

A unique two in one product from Turtle Wax that encompasses a glass cleaner with rain repellent technology. Described as specially formulated to provide exceptional streak-free cleaning whilst leaving a protective rain repellent coating. The water beading technology improves driving visibility as droplets are swept away by aerodynamic airflow as well as wiper blades. The treated glass surface is then easier to clean as the water repellent technology helps prevent dirt, bugs and traffic film from sticking to the glass.

How we tested it:

We tested Turtle Wax Ice as part of a group test against rival products, particularly as it was a budget alternative to other rain repellent coatings. We also tested the product individually and as with other glass sealants looked for water repellency on light and heavy water flow, ease of use and value.

We Liked:

• Superb value. Can be attained for under £2! Giving you 500ml of product for your money.
• Clear water repellency from the coating.
• Very easy to apply as the repellency is applied as you clean the glass. Simply spray and wipe with a microfiber towel.

We Didn't Like:

• The cleaning element of the product is smeary compared to dedicated cleaners and may take work to remove.
• Claims the product is for inside vehicles too but smells a little chemical for our liking.
• Not as powerful as dedicated rain repellent coatings and struggled to displace heavy water flow compared to rivals on test.

Overall:

Turtle Wax need to be commended for this product as they have achieved a product that functions as a genuine two in one product and one which can be attained for a great value price. However neither feature of the product is as successful in its job as dedicated products and you may get frustrated in removal of the product. Having said that, it's hard to look past it for the price as a genuine aid to visibility whilst driving in the rain and one which can be applied with ease during every car clean.
