The Water block has the best water repellency among all the other waxes/sealants, compare to Fusso coat it has a higher beading angle hence water droplets generally will look bigger.

This newly developed waterproof resin is highly durable and shuts out acid rain, rain, and water from affecting the car's body exterior. It has amazing water-repellency and its effects last for up to 10 car washes.

How we Tested it:

We were kindly given a pot of Water Block by the guys at Nippon Shine to put to the test. Incorporating it into the Protection treatments in our sister detailing brand, we have been able to observe ease of application, water behaviour and durability over an extended period of time.

We Liked:

• Unbelievable water behaviour. Even possibly better than high end ceramic coatings. The water bounces off the paintwork surface.
• Excellent value. Larger than the market average wax wins, this will last you an awful long time.
• Decent durability to complement the protection. 3 months is definitely realistic.
• Really enhances gloss on the vehicle. Clear difference post application.
• Easy removal of the product. Much easier than Fusso, also in the same range.

We didn't like:

• Clogs up applicators quickly, several applicators may be needed on larger vehicles.
• Smells very chemically.

Overall

A truly stunning product from Soft 99. Water Block brings simply the best water behaviour we have seen in any product to date. If you're after some insane beading pictures on your finished car, this is the one for you. Factor in several months durability, change from a £20 note and a huge pot of product. It really is difficult to fault.

Bin the applicator that comes with it as its quite rough on sensitive paintwork and favour a softer foam applicator and you cant go far wrong. Yes it will frustrate a little how the applicator clogs and dries up a little but its certainly worth it for the results.
