What is it:

Taken from the Scholl Concepts website; The S20 Black is a visionary and unique 1-Step High Performance Compound covering a wide range of applications on all common paint systems. Detailing of weathered and scratched paint surfaces was never made that simple! Due to continuous further improvements of our iPT Powder Technology we were able to develop a polish that removes deep scratches and treats weathered surfaces quickly and effortlessly in only one step, regardless of the hardness of the clear coat system. Despite its tremendous cutting performance the superior, mirror-like gloss of the 1-Step Detailing Compound is remarkable. Even holograms and swirl marks on dark paint surfaces can be polished out easily.

How we Tested it:

We purchased a litre of Scholl S20 to use on our paint corrections in the hope that it lived up to its claims. We were particularly looking for the genuine one step potential of the product, its general cutting and refining ability and its ease of use.

We Liked:

• We have never managed to leave holograms or marring on even the softest of paints with this product. Breaks down and refines wonderfully.
• Cuts as well as many harsh abrasives, will effortlessly remove swirls, scratches and blemishes.
• Long work time means you can keep working and working the product safely and for as long as is necessary.
• Leaves a fantastic finish on all paint types.
• Genuinely corrects and refines paint in one single stage on almost all defect levels.

We Didn't Like:

• Can be a little oily on removal and can take a couple of wipes to fully remove.
• Can struggle with some particularly heavy defects.

Overall:

A game changer of a product not just for ourselves but for the detailing community. S20 has taken the detailing world by storm and It's easy to see why. For 90% of paint correction work it is the answer. You can adjust pads accordingly and see an effortless single step not only rid the paint of defects but refine down to a fantastic high gloss finish. Not only this but it really doesn't clog up your pads quickly unlike many rival products with a tiny amount going a very long way. Whilst it cannot replace every product in our correction kit, it has replaced many. The best way to sum up Scholl S20? No product has ever impressed beyond expectations so much.
