What is it:
Taken from the Rug Doctor website; The Rug Doctor Spot and Stain Foam Cleaner comes with a handy, integrated, fabric-safe brush that tackles even the most ground-in, stubborn carpet and upholstery stains with ease.
How we tested it:
We were kindly sent two cans of the foam cleaner by Rug Doctor to put through their paces as we thought this would ideally suit the valeting market. We particularly were looking at areas around pedals and floor carpets where dirt generally gets rubbed into fabrics. We looked at the effectiveness and usability of the product in terms of doing so and its place in the valetingdetailing trade.
We Didn't Like:
All in one upholstery cleaning products with an integrated brush have been part of the valeting trade for some time and can be an effective way of removing ingrained dirt from surfaces. The Rug Doctor effort is so nearly very good. In terms of its place, its ideal for footwell cleaning and floor mats and allows a convenient way to tackle the more ingrained areas. The downside was we feel the design needs to be a little more robust. On several occasions we found the brush end too flimsy to build up a scrubbing momentum with, and a little development could really improve the overall product. In terms of results, the carpet looks great but it feels like it takes longer than it should due to these slight drawbacks.
