Kärcher K2 Home Pressure Washer Review
Product Overview

The K2 Home is a small, lightweight and portable machine, used for cleaning exterior items including patios and decking, cars, bicycles and garden furniture. An upright design, wheels and a long handle makes this machine easy to use and to maneuver and the on-board storage solution means the trigger gun and accessories are stored neat and safely with the machine.

What We Say
What is it:
The K2 is Karchers entry level pressure washer range with the "Home" being a general use practical solution to multiple cleaning tasks around the home. In a small neat package, the K2 comes complete with various lances and a patio cleaner attachment.
How we Tested it:
We actually happened to own the K2 as our previous pressure washer to the Kranzle we are now using and have used the machine for a variety of uses. We have observed its overall performance at such tasks as well as ease of use, value for money and range of uses.
We Liked:
- Lightweight and compact making it easy to manoeuvre.
- Good value for money. Can regularly be picked up in offers for less than £60.
- Generous accessories for the price included, the patio cleaner is very useful and very effective at its task.
We Didn’t Like:
- We found that the handle often become detached whilst using it. We’re not sure if this was a manufacturing fault or a design fault.
- The hose feels a little short. Its 4 metres long but doesn’t feel enough for many tasks and quite often end up pulling the machine over.
Overall:
As an entry level pressure washer for use at home in patio cleaning and light cleaning tasks, the K2 is a competent performer. The included patio attachment makes short work of large patio areas quickly and effectively. We do wish the cable was longer and a rethink is certainly needed on the handle design as it needs to either be more secure or fold down rather than being a detachable handle. A few tweaks and more clarity on the K2’s target market are needed for the K2 to fulfil its place in the market effectively.
