What is it:

A shampoo available in various sizes with a 250-1 dilution that incorporates carnauba wax to aid rinsing and spruce protection. Power Maxed describe the product as follows;

Our Shampoo Ultra Wax incorporates combined foam boosters and carnauba wax for professional deep surface cleaning. Once applied the product gets to work breaking down surface grime fast and effectively. Soiling is kept suspended in the liquid solution until washed away with clean water.

How we Tested it:

We have been a fan of Power Maxed for several years now with their shampoo actually being the first product we used. To this day it is still a product we will use and over extended testing we have utilised the product on a huge variety of vehicles and levels of soiling as well as using it as a clay lubricant. We observed cleaning properties, aesthetics of the finish, how pleasant the product is to use and lubricity.

We Liked:

• Smells fresh and is bright pink! Aesthetically will appeal to many.
• Slick and nicely lubricated during use, feels safe on your vehicles paintwork.
• Works well mixed up with water as a clay lubricant alternative.
• Nice finish on vehicle, the carnauba properties leave a rich gloss finish even on cars with no other gloss enhancing coatings/protection.

We Didn't Like:

• Rival products with far higher dilutions offer greater value for money.
• Can leave streaking if you accidently exceed the recommended dilution.
• No clarification of whether the product is truly PH neutral, though on asking Power Maxed say the product is coating safe.

Overall:

We are yet to come across a product in the Power Maxed range which we don't enjoy and wouldn't recommend and fortunately their shampoo entrant is no exception. There are greater value products out there with far higher dilutions and (which is always personal preference) in our view, products that smell nicer and last more from this aspect during the process. Having said that, it is a product we regularly add to our orders from Power Maxed and fans of the brand will not be disappointed if they do likewise. If you fancy trying a new shampoo, it's a quality product that cleans well and leaves a lovely finish on your vehicle.
