What We Say

What is it:

Taken from the Polished Pigs website; Spray wax is a Super effective Spray Wax. Using a unique formula to provide a higher wax content combining gloss enhancing oils into our formulation gives deep and wet gloss for darker colours and exceptional gloss properties for lighter colours too. It's an all rounder and a must have for any enthusiast or pro detailer.

How we tested it:

Spray wax landed on our door step as part of a range of Polished Pigs products we were testing. Paramount with any spray wax is usability and appearance so these were of main focus to us along with protection offered and value.

We Liked:

• Leaves an incredible wet look to paintwork. Real depth to the finish particularly on darker paint.
• Disperses and removes quickly and easily from panels.
• Smells fantastic but not overpowering.
• A little goes a very long way, economical product in its use.
• Fast to apply and pretty much streaksmear free even on dark paint.

We Didn't Like:

• Offers decent protection and beading but others do have more noticeable water behaviour properties.

Overall:

I could summarise the review of this as "look at that shine". As that seemed to be what we constantly said during testing which tells you pretty much all you need to know. As a spray wax, this takes some beating with us claiming in our video review it may well be the benchmark. We have often been frustrated by spray wax products that on paper look and sound great but streak on application or don't make much difference to the car and this couldn't be more opposite. Practically effortless, using barely any product and dramatically deepening gloss on cars, it is a superb product. The only thing we would say is it is more of a quick detailer. In terms of protection, yes it certainly adds protection but we would say it is more in line with a top up protection than a dedicated LSP.
