What We Say

What is it:

Building on the very successful previous gen of Rapid Detailer which received high acclaim including awards for best detailer by PVD magazine. The new and reformulated Rapid Detailer has arrived and promises to be in the words of the brand creator, "simply epic".

How we Tested it:

Infinity Wax kindly sent us a 500ml bottle of Rapid Detailer to put through its paces which we have done so on a variety of surfaces including bodywork, as a clay lube, on glass and as a final touch on wheels. We have looked for ease of use, gloss enhancement and range of uses as key focuses.

We Liked:

• The product promises a no buff formula and it really is quite remarkable. The product almost self-evaporates on contact and leaves little to no residue and certainly requires no buffing.
• A little goes a long way, a light misting over any panel is all that is required.
• Leaves a fantastic high gloss finish, particularly on darker colours.
• Works well on most exterior surfaces as a fast way to add gloss, depth and protection.
• Good as a clay lube, feels slick underneath during use.

We Didn't Like:

• We did find it to smear a little on glass despite product saying to use on glass. This did remove with additional buffing but wasn't quite as easy as on other surfaces.
• Not vital, but no real smell to the product during use.

Overall:

Infinity Wax promised us an epic product so they had much to live up to as we have seen some truly epic products in recent times, particularly as it happens in the Quick Detailer sector. The good news is that this not only joins the list of epic products but fights for top spot. The buff-less formula is actually quite bizarre during use as you see the product simply vanish before you as you wipe and truly makes it the most rapid of rapidquick detailer products. Fortunately, it isn't a gimmick and is reinforced by a truly superb finish as well as a completely encompassing full range of uses across a vehicle with the only exception being front windscreens. We would have liked a nice smell to go with the product for added enjoyment during use but it doesn't have any unpleasant smells and you can forgive additions like this for the performance of the product. We would be very surprised if anyone uses this product and then wants to return to another quick detailer. To quote Mike who sent us the product. It is simply epic.
