What is it?

Envy Car Care FA is a paintwork sealant that is highly concentrated and can be applied via lance or via a trigger spray bottle to either a wet or a dry vehicle. Envy claim 3 months + durability from the product and a fantastic shine. Envy themselves go on to say:

FA is strongly attracted to the painted finish (and surfaces like glass and plastics) and quickly forms a highly water repellent film which will subsequently cure, enhancing its strength and durability. After drying the vehicle, the paint will be glossy and water repellent, lasting 3+ months in our own extensive testing. The gloss has to be seen to be believed. It's just FA"¦

How we Tested it?

We were sent a 500ml bottle to trial and review. We have used the product in various ways on a multitude of vehicle types both wet and dry and have used it as a final sealant and as maintenance protection. We have observed largely the visual appearance of the finish, water repellency, durability and ease of use.

We Liked:

• Extremely clever bottle design allows you to measure the 35ml required to mix up the product with the bottle itself.
• Unbelievably deep gloss and reflections, it truly is FA"¦.ahem.
• Excellent water repellency, it sheets and beads water away very effectively for at least the first 6-8 weeks after application.
• Very convenient product to use, it is particularly so when doing maintenance treatments on your vehicle to quickly top the protection.
• Due to the great economy of the product, whilst initially expensive, FA works out to be very good value. We used it via the trigger bottle mainly and it is good for making 14 litres worth in this method.

We Didn't Like:

• Not the most pleasant product to use. Smells quite harsh and is quite choking if the wind changes.
• Whilst undeniably a great product, may lost out to some areas of the mass market in appeal as rivals add colour, smell and eye catching packaging.
• Durability is more around the 2 month mark we have found

Overall:

The real question we have to answer here is if FA really is FA essentially. We are pleased to report that largely - yes! We did find ourselves standing back and looking at cars we coated in FA and thinking that looks truly amazing. We would even go so far as to say it is one of the richest glosses we have seen from a product, even alongside top end waxes. As stated above, certain sectors of the mass market who like gimmicky products may reach for brighter coloured, nicer smelling rivals such as Power Maxed Summer Jacket but those in the know will see the product for the fantastically designed bottle and astonishing results.
