What is it?

The quick detailer element of the Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Range. Available in a wide range of sizes including a 1 litre concentrate to mix yourself. Designed for use on multiple surfaces and for the show goer, the product promises high gloss and ease of use.

How we Tested it?

Basics of Bling Detailing Spray was purchased in concentrate form for our Detailing business with the hope of providing a great value bulk use detailer that we could use for a wide range of tasks. We have used the product for everything from the final step gloss enhancement to cleaning door shuts and engine bay areas. We particularly looked at the value the product offers as well as its gloss enhancement and ease of use.

We Liked:

• Nice fresh smell and funky appearance in colour and presentation make it an enjoyable detailer to use.
• Fantastic value, particularly in concentrate form where you can make 10 litres of detailer for a fraction of the price of rival brands.
• Good cleaning power for a detailer. We frequently use the product on door shuts and to deep clean wheel dishes and engine bays.

We Didn't Like:

• Can be a little smeary and takes a little more removal than some quick detailers.
• Rivals arguably offer a higher gloss finish.

Overall

This is a great no nonsense quick detailer due to its great value without the compromise on performance. If you use a lot of detailer, particularly if you are a trade user it could be an ideal solution for you. We would say that from experience rivals may offer slightly more gloss and ease during removal but that isn't to say that Basics of Bling doesn't improve the finish. It certainly adds to gloss but we find the product most at home as a quick detailer in the sense of taking care of any small missed areas and blemishes and for multiple uses at great value.
