How we tested it:

We purchased the pad washer for ourselves to satisfy our need to be able to frequently cleanse and refresh pads during use and to trial different product combinations during detailing. We have put the machine through rigorous testing with various machines and foam and microfiber pads. We have used a multitude of products on the pads, different levels of saturation and ages of pad, observing how well the system cleans and refreshes the pads and increases longevity of use.

We Liked:

• Very simple to use, complete system that both cleans and dries pads in approx. 30 seconds.
• Very effective cleaning, we have taken very heavily caked pad faces to the system and had them perfectly usable in seconds.
• Allows you to trial many more pad and polish combinations to find the best for your task rather than having to buy and use more pads.
• Very clear instructions included both with the machine and printed on the machine itself.
• Prolongs life of pad faces.

We Didn't Like:

• Style/design feels a little cheap for the high price of the system.
• Lid can work loose during use.

Overall:

If you use a machine polisher, at home or particularly as a trade user, this system is an absolute must. Prior to purchase we would find ourselves changing pad multiple times during the vehicle and often running out of pads if a particularly problematic paint system meant that you needed to try various product combinations. With the pad cleaning system, you can trial a combo, cleanse, try another, cleanse until happy, then after a panel you can cleanse the pad again rather than putting wear and tear on multiple pads. All within about 30 seconds! Expensive to buy but long term very much worth the outlay.
