Car-Chem 1900:1 Shampoo is a pleasantly Coloured and scented shampoo that cuts through dirt with ease. Despite this, it will not strip existing layers of wax. Special lubricants give a smooth feel as you wipe exterior surfaces clean, while long lasting suds help to lift dirt particles safely away. In addition to performing well, this shampoo also works out to be very economical thanks to its generous

dilution ratio of 1900:1.

How we Tested it?

We picked up a limited edition version of the product from WaxStock in July. The formula was exactly the same in terms of performance, just limited edition packaging and fragrance. It has since been used for a variety of vehicles and also as a clay lubrication mixture. Prices start at £10.99 for 500ml from Carchem.

We Liked:

• Incredible Dilution rate of 1900:1 means even a 500ml bottle has lasted us the best part of two and half months being used daily! You use that little, you feel you're doing something wrong!
• Very stylish packaging. Both true of the edition we tested and other variations. Subtle and with a top end professional image to match the brands general image.
• Superb lubricity means wash media glide over paint surface.
• Fantastic finish both on bare paint and on protected surfaces. PH neutral formula ensures safe coverage.

We Didn't like:

• The product is incredibly thick. This does make it tricky to dispense such a tiny amount as required. A measuring syringe or similar to dispense may be sensible.

Overall:

One of our favourite car care products where we genuinely struggled to criticise it in any way shape or form. The value for money is superb. Although expensive to buy initially, it ends up working out at approximately 17 pence per car. When you factor in the superb scent, lubricity and performance of the product, that becomes an absolute no brainer. Some products become ever presents in a collection. For us, 1900:1 by CarChem is just that.
