What is it:

Taken from the Buff It UK website; Designed for the washing of cars and caravans, Buff-Its Ultra Jelly Bean Shampoo is a high grade pH neutral shampoo designed to safely lift dirt and grime from your paintwork. Can be used on any car or caravan, motorhome or vehicle exterior surface.

How we Tested it:

We were kindly sent 250ml of Ultra Jelly Bean shampoo to put to the test. On a range of vehicles we largely looked at the effectiveness as a quality shampoo, the smell and desirability of the product and the value that it offers.

We Liked:

• Feels slick during use, nice and lubricated feel across the paintwork surface.
• Foams nicely to a thick lather during use.
• Three different size offerings allow for 250ml of product to be trialled before larger quantities purchased.

We Didn't Like:

• No direction as to dilution. Just states to add some to water, we weren't sure if we were using the right amount or not.
• Smell gets lost during use. Smells great in the bottle but we didn't really smell it while using.

Overall:

How to rate this product caused us issues. On the one hand, it is a nice to use shampoo offering PH Neutral cleaning and a good slick feel across paintwork and effective cleaning power. But to get to this we had to sadly guess how much to use, trying different amounts until we got what felt an effective mix due to lack of dilution instructions. As such we also don't know if the product offers good value or not as the economy of the product cannot be determined. With a name like Ultra Jelly Bean too, we hoped the smell would make us drool but was largely lacking during use. In terms of performance, a good performer and one which we would use again but as an overall product, small refinements are needed. With these refinements, this has the potential to be a very commendable product.
