What is it:

Taken from the Bear Car Care Website; Resplendent is a luxury spray wax. Designed to apply a layer of wax on your paintwork quickly and effortlessly. Resplendent is easy to apply and buff off and will leave a deep glossy shine.

How we tested it:

We were kindly sent 500ml of Resplendent to assess and put through its paces by Bear Car Care themselves as part of a review of their whole range. We used Resplendent both as a last stage protection on several vehicles and also used it both as a base for other protection and to top other protection with. We looked for its finish and ease of use as well as durability and value offered from the product.

We Liked:

• Has a real premium feel in everything from appearance to application of the product.
• Only need a very small amount to cover a large area.
• Fantastic high gloss finish, gives a real wet look finish.
• Good durability for a spray wax of 3 months+
• Smells incredible.

We Didn't Like:

• Can be a little streaky on application. We recommend using several cloths for the removal.
• Takes longer than some rival spray waxes to apply and remove.
• Can be a little grabbysticky on removal, curing time required seemed inconsistent.

Overall

Resplendent is a difficult product to review. Spray waxes are usually designed with speed and ease of application in mind. Often this compromises durability and often appearance too. With Resplendent we have the reverse, a product that takes quite a while to apply, can be a little tricky to remove but ultimately rewards you with a spectacular finish and good durability. With being a spray wax, we have to judge it as such and thus we do have to consider the ease of use and we didn't find it as quick to use as we would hope. We sound like we are being negative. The finish, durability and premium feel of the product alone gain it Trusted Car Products Approved Status and it is worth the extra effort.
