What is it:

Taken from the Bear Car Care Website; Brilliance is our premium quick detailer. Brilliance is no ordinary detailer as its blended with an advanced sealant. The formulation ensures not only a crisp, clean finish, but also provides an excellent level of protection. One application will improve the appearance of your vehicle.

How we tested it:

We were kindly sent 500ml of Brilliance to assess and put through its paces by Bear Car Care themselves as part of a review of their whole range. We used Brilliance as a general quick detailer throughout the detailing process, using it for a final step on bodywork but also for door shuts, deep wheel cleaning and detailing and for use as a general detailer around intricate and hard to cleanse areas. We looked at any changes in finish, protection added and the ease of use of the product as well as value offered and range of uses.

We Liked:

• Very quick dispersing detailer, evaporates and removes from panel very quickly and with ease.
• Leaves a nice slick shine on paintwork whilst adding a top up of protection.
• Was nice and useable as a low soiling cleaner for door shuts due to lack of residue left behind.
• Huge range of uses as product could be used for anything from enhancing appearance of a whole vehicle to simply removing a bug splat.

We Didn't Like:

• Doesn't quite feel as premium as we hoped with some rivals being more enjoyable to use in terms of smell.

Overall:

Quick detailers should do exactly what the name suggests. They should be quick to use and be for the little details, the final touches as it were. Brilliance also does what the name suggests. It's brilliant. The detailing market has been spoilt with nice smelling, fancy detailers in recent times, some fantastic, others more style before substance. Brilliance focusses more on performance than flash smells and benefits from it, particularly in terms of added protection and its great ease of use. We just worry people will still be drawn to nice smelling rivals and miss out on a great product.
