What is it?

BD Clean themselves describe the product as follows:

BD Clean Snow Foam is a highly concentrated cleaner that produces rich, long-lasting foam that clings to your car. This snow foam helps to break down dirt, grime and stubborn stains such as insects and bird droppings, making the cleaning process much quicker and easier for you, making it the perfect car pre wash solution. This product is used alongside your pressure washer and snow foam lance, which needs to be set at a 1 to 10 ratio to create a fantastic smelling car pre wash foam solution that is both pH neutral and wax safe. Our snow foam will allow you to remove tough grime and dirt from your vehicle without harming your paint work.

How we tested it?

BD Clean sent us a range of 500ml products for us to trial and review with the snow foam being one of them. We have used it via a snow foam lance on a variety of vehicles from well protected ceramic coated vehicles to heavily soiled vehicles observing dwell time, smell, economy and cleaning power.

We Liked:

• Great eye catching packaging set the product apart and whilst some may think it is a little cartoony, we like it!
• Undoubted fantastic cleaning ability, real noticeable difference before and after and in ease of cleaning when washing.
• Ridiculously thick. This foam will cling and cling and then cling some more.

We didn't Like:

• Not the most economical of snow foams. The starting price for 500ml with a 10:1 dilution make it one of the more expensive offerings.
• The smell wasn't to our taste. Claims of a great smelling product were lost on us as we found it slightly strange smelling.

Overall:

Certainly one of the stronger performing snow foams we have put to the test in terms of outright cleaning ability and let's face it, this is the most important aspect of a pre wash. Performance does come at a price and whilst this is often the case with most things in life, we aren't sure if the premium is justified over close rivals. There will be people who love the styling and thickness of the foam and as mentioned its strong performance but would we purchase it over rivals offering greater value for money? We're not sure. However, ignoring price, there is no getting away from the fact that this is an excellent pre wash.
