What is it?

The BD Clean Interior Gel Dressing is a high quality interior cleaner that packs a punch. Silicone-free, water-based and pH neutral, this interior dressing is specially designed to help you clean your dashboard, the interior of your car and your trims, quickly and easily, without any muscle power from you. This specialist interior cleaner gel is fast acting and strong, removing all dirt and fingerprints from the dashboard and all other types of plastic surfaces, leaving a professional and non-greasy finish.

How we Tested it?

We have been using a 500ml sample of interior dressing from BD Clean for quite some time now which will continue to be the case due to the ridiculously good economy of the product! We have tested it on all manner of interior surfaces, observing mainly the finish left in terms of appearance and feel, the usability of the product and the smell of the product.

We Liked:

• Only have to use a tiny amount to cover a large area. When used with a foam applicator it goes a very long way indeed.
• Leaves a lovely finish on black plastics along door sills.
• Smells great, subtle but noticeable once car has been completed.

We Didn't Like:

• We are left confused by the product. The packaging needs work. It is marketed as a dressing yet online described as a cleaner too yet there is no mention of it being a cleaner on the packaging.
• Quite a smeary dressing and doesn't take well to all types of plastic surfaces and can occasionally be quite glossy.

Overall:

We really want to love this product as we like the form of a gel for applying evenly and loved the smell and initial impressions were good. As time went on we found ourselves getting frustrated with the product at times and picking other products over it as it smeared and dried unevenly on certain surfaces. The biggest flaw is a lack of clarity, both in terms of the types of surface it is effective upon and also what the product actually is! We cleaned all surfaces with an all-purpose cleaner prior to application as it is labelled as a dressing. Yet we then find out by chance that the product is also a cleaner. A rethink of packaging and instructions could turn this into a much better overall product.
