What is it:
Building on the success of HD wax, UHD is the new flagship protection product from Autoglym. Taken from the Autoglym website; Ultra High Definition Wax is the result of countless hours of meticulous development in our state-of- the-art laboratories to produce our most luxurious wax finish yet. We understand the pleasure of standing back to admire a truly immersive, deeper gloss finish. It's why Ultra High Definition Wax blends the finest ingredients, including Carnauba, to go beyond showroom shine to a whole new level of finish.
How we Tested it:
We have been using Ultra HD wax over a prolonged period of time now since kindly receiving a pot on release for testing. During this time we have observed initial durability, repellency and protection, ease of use and finish on a wide range of vehicles.
We Didn't Like:
We reviewed the original HD wax by Autoglym some time ago now with it scoring a very commendable 8.3/10 on test with us here at Trusted Car Products. Obviously the big test for Ultra HD Wax is to better this, particularly with the price hike which has accompanied the new product. The good news for Autoglym is that in product capability they have. The wax is noticeably easier to apply (not that HD Wax was difficult) and with a richer gloss than previously with the applicator improved upon over HD wax too. First durability testing has come in 2 months down the line and it is still performing strongly and shows no signs of letting go anytime soon. Overall a very competent wax with a superb finish. We just worry about that price against rivals.
